A  hot cup of coffee and a chin wag. The chance to give tai chi a try.  A workout for your brain a couple of times a week at bridge. Computer classes.  A soup and sandwich lunch. All this and much more is enjoyed by retirees at the Snowflake Seniors Centre.

The centre invites all seniors 50 years and over to participate in its amazing array of activities, use one of its computers or just drop in for coffee. Retirees keep busy with more than sixteen weekly activities that include:

  • crafts, choral group, a computer classes, entertainment night and a band

The once a month soup and sandwich lunches include a guest speaker during dessert. The investment club meets and the gardening club both meet once a month from April to September. A quilting club is also in the mix.

Classes in woodworking, arcrylic painting, digital cameras, Spanish and other topics and special outings such as dinner & concert, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, horseback riding and hiking round out the program. Programmer, Lisa Frazer, is very responsive to ideas from centre members.
