KITIMAT CONCERT SOCIETY
Kitimat Concert Association is a registered charitable organization dedicated to promoting an interest in the performing arts in Kitimat.
Its goals are:
- to provide exposure to the residents of the District of Kitimat to high quality professional, musical, theatrical and choreographical performances which they, due to the distant location of Kitimat and its small population base might otherwise not be able to enjoy;
- to present as many concerts in an annual series as is within the Association's operational budget and physical limitations;
- to fulfill demands of our audience as well as to challenge our audience to experience new performers / performance styles;
- to provide bursaries and scholarships in the performing arts, as and when it is appropriate and within our financial means; and
- to provide an avenue for Canadian performers of high quality, both new and well-established, to showcase their talents.
The Concert Association welcomes new members, we have a great deal of fun and the work load is far from onerous.
