THE ART CLUB
Come out for artful play!
The Art Club, whose motto is "Come out for artful play", meets once a week, every Thusday evening, from September until May in the art room at Mount Elizabeth Secondary School. The schedule of events is published in the local paper.
The club offers members a comfortable, supportive environment in which to explore different subject matter and media such as water colour, acrylics, charcoal and pastels. They also have fun events.
The club participates in the local Spring and Fall Craft Fairs and has a display in the City Centre Mall in December. At these events, some of the art is for sale.
New members can attend three meetings without making a commitment. Membership is $40 a year.
The club ends its season with a barbeque on the third Thursday in May.
